Roughly a month before our wedding, my fiance and I weren't sure if we should take dance lessons for our first dance. Seeing as I had two left feet, we were a bit hesitant. But Kabelo at the dance academy was so understanding and said we could come try one lesson before we decided if we wanted to keep doing more. I'm sure he didn't expect my dancing skills (or lack thereof) to be so... Well, let's just say after the one lesson, he suggested we might want to book a few more. He was so patient and experienced, and our lessons ended being full of laughter and fun. By the 5th lesson, we were feeling pretty confident. Our first dance ended up being just perfect.

We chose Kabelo to choreograph our wedding fance. We found him to be a passionate dance instructor whose energy we found infectious. Although he relied on our intuition over detailed instructions at times, he showed patience when we were struggling with certain steps. We loved the dance he choreographed to our chosen song,and we are very excited to show it off on our special day Overall, we loved being taught by him and would highly recommend him for both beginner and experienced dancers

Kabelo has always been someone I look up to. Not only for his attention to detail when it came to my movements and techniques, but also for his knack for highlighting my bad habits. When it came to teaching something specific, Kabelo’s straightforward way of communicating would always make sure that I understood what to do or how to do a certain step or style. Many teachers only take their job as far as the job description goes, but Kabelo was always passionate about me and all his students. I will always be grateful for his patience and open-mindedness. Instead of having things in a fixed way, Kabelo always reminded me that dancing is a form of expression, and that thinking out of the box is what creates creativity and innovation. In my many years of knowing him, Kabelo has always been a hardworking and ambitious person with a lot of drive. His positive energy was always motivating and encouraged me to also strive for my dreams. Through his constant support and encouragement as a teacher, my Latin dance confidence kept growing.
